"To spend a LIFETIME with the One I Love....
Now that is THE GREATEST adventure of all!"
This is an engagement session I will never forget! As I drove to Spearfish for the session the clouds got darker and darker. The farther I got from the studio the harder the rain started falling. I then drove into quarter size hail, had to pull over to the side, sit through the hail storm, gasp every time it hit my new vehicle and eventually called Adam and Sonja. We decided it would probably be doing this where we were going for their engagement photos and thought we should postpone. I then turned around and headed back to the studio. It wasn't but a few miles and my friend called from Spearfish saying it was really nice there. OH NO!!! I couldn't pass up a nice night after the rain for photos! I turned around called the couple and crossed my fingers that no more hail would be in my path. MY LUCK turns out to be pretty good! Here are a few of the photos from Adam and Sonja's engagement session. They were a joy to work with and we really lived it up and took lots of photos. I hope everyone finds someone that looks at them the way these two look at each other. Sonja says she thanks Adam every day for this!!! Can't wait for your October wedding. Enjoy!
WOW! I could move to the Big Horns over by Sheridan, WY. It is absolutely beautiful up there. Here are a few of the photos from Jeff & Krissy's gorgeous day. Krissy trudged around the mountain side in that dress for these photos! The dress had a mocha brown waist wrap/tie (not sure the proper term for that!) that added just the right amount of color and flare. She made all her own flowers and they were beautiful too! Congrats to you both and thanks for asking me to be a part of this weekend! I wouldn't have missed it!
These two little sweethearts are my relatives! Their mother and I were trying to figure out exactly what our cousin status is but decided we'd have to call someone who knew more about the family tree!!! We had a fun session with three different outfits that they each picked out specifically for themselves and to be together in a "sisters shot" they called it. Hee hee They were too funny! Lots of energy in those two girls. Thanks to their parents for the cute outfits and patience during the three location setting! It was a beautiful day for photographing and I couldn't have enjoyed it any more.
Kashtyn just stopped by with his mom and dad for his one year photo session! All I have to say is what a cutie!!! He has the biggest smile that just warms the room he's in. I would also like to comment about him getting up at 5:30am this morning and then going without a nap, he did a great job. The little cowboy boots, cowboy hat, rocking horse, cake were all wonderful touches his mom thought of and brought. His dad was the one we counted on for the big smiles Kashtyn gave as he would laugh and giggle at his daddy. Thank you to two amazing parents and one sweet little boy!
What a relaxing weekend I just had! I went up to the Big Horn Mountains for a wedding at Passage Resort. The weather was absolutely perfect and the scenery was breathtaking. I was spoiled this weekend as I drove half way, got in with my brother and his family and drove the rest of the way with them. Therefore giving me the opportunity to get some kisses and smiles out of my 15 month old nephew! I would recommend a vacation up in the mountains for EVERYONE! It was enjoyable taking in the mountain air, seclusion and great cooking! It didn't however quite sink in till I was up on the mountain that I would not have service for my cell or internet for the three days. That was the best relaxer ever! Even if I wanted to work on things I couldn't!!! When the sun set the first evening we were at the cabin I went on a little walk with my nephew and got some of the photos you see. Enjoy some of these fun family photos and I'll have the wedding photos up soon!
Paige made quite the trip for her two year photos and did a splendid job! I know if I ever need a friend I could probably just call her up and she'd come over and play. She made her parents worry a little bit at the beginning of the session as she clung to their legs, but by the end they thought she may just go home with me. Ha ha! Oh, she tells you her entire story in those bright eyes! What a sweetheart! Thanks to her mom and dad for driving two hours for her 2 year photo session. I will always look at her photos if I need a smile!
Can't wait for September 5! Wade and Megan will tie the knot!!! Here are a few of their engagement photos that we took on Saturday in the rain. Our plan was to go to the beautiful Spearfish Canyon but the weather wasn't looking so promising. We altered our plans and went to Sheridan Lake. It wasn't but fifteen minutes into the session that the rain started pouring down. Thanks to Wade and Megan for being so patient as we waited out the rain and then got some more amazing photographs of the two of them. These two are just so much fun to spend time with! They made me laugh so much with reasons why one of them or the other didn't like photographs of themselves. I hope they look at these and see just how great they look and they look together!!! Congrats you two and I look forward to working with you further!
